On this day, and every day, I give thanks that I am alive. I give thanks for my amazing brain, the function of we know so little, and for my healing body, so fragile and so very strong at once. I give thanks that I am aware of the world as I know it to be, and I give thanks for all that remains unseen or yet unknown.
I give thanks for love, that love is the primary engine of our world. I give thanks especially for love embodied, in my beloved Dave Donatiu and in all my beloveds, my family and my children and ever so many friends. I give thanks for you.
I give thanks for this beautiful world, for air and sky and sea and river and mountain and canyon, for trees and flowers and vegetables and fruits, for birds and insects and animals (especially cats).
I give thanks for the ways we connect and communicate, and for brilliant minds and hearts who dream up new things to add to our world.
I give thanks for my life, for what I’ve learned from all that came before, and for all that is yet to come.
Much love, as always.
